Haro Marine Engineering announces new services for boats and yachts

Submitted by Rob Griffith.

Haro Marine Engineering is proud to announce Vessel Services on Orcas Island and surrounding areas, providing boat and yacht owners with access to system repair, maintenance and operation strategies used in regulated industrial and commercial vessel applications, as well as implementing and maintaining the standards established by the American Boat and Yacht Council.

“Haro Marine aims to improve vessel safety and reliability through proven engineering methodology in design, repair, maintenance and system upgrades. We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality of service, and that’s what we want our customers to remember: quality workmanship,” said Robert “Rob” Griffith, Owner and Chief Engineer.

Many customers have already benefited from the services of Haro Marine. Recently a client contacted Griffith to service their vessel after a prolonged poor performance. Haro Marine discovered design and installation flaws in the system which, if left unaddressed, caused rapid wear and a high likelihood of equipment failure. The issue was resolved quickly and Haro provided detailed resolution information.

“I couldn’t be happier with the service from Haro Marine. Rob is efficient, very knowledgeable and quick to respond,” said Greg Ripley, Orcas Islander.

Griffith has spent more than half of his adult life at sea, holds an unlimited Chief Engineer’s License issued by the USCG, is a certified technician by the American Boat and Yacht Council and maintains several equipment and approvals and regulatory certifications. Although Griffith can sometimes speak in boat and engineering terms, he is proficient at providing easy to understand explanations.
